In many ways, a church is like a family that works hard to pay its bills and balance its budget. In other ways, it is like a business that must report to its stakeholders value for money spent. But, in all cases, a church recognizes that all it has is from God and it should honor God. While at Holy Cross we are all responsible, there are several committees that help us to be the best stewards we can be.
Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is elected annually to review the financial records of the church and to provide a report to the congregation. If you have the skills to assist with the auditing process, please click here to express your willingness to get involved!
Endowment Committee
Members of the Endowment Committee are elected by the congregation to maintain and protect the Mission Endowment Fund of the church and to manage the fiscal affairs of that fund. In line with this purpose, the committee also encourages members of the congregation in the stewardship of their accumulated assets. Click here to express your willingness to serve.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee works closely with the treasurer to oversee the financial operation of the church and maintain its financial health. Committee members help with tasks such as budget preparation, offering counting teams oversight, bill payment, purchasing and accounting. Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee is responsible for encouraging members of our congregation to respond to God’s love with the "first fruits" of their time, talents and resources for the support of the church. Click here to get involved with organizing stewardship efforts at Holy Cross!
Thanksgiving and Memorial Committee
This committee is appointed by the congregational council to manage the funds given to the church in thanksgiving or in memory of the life of a loved one. Click here to express your willingness to serve the church by seeking fitting uses for these special donations.
