Serve the Church: Music
Holy Cross is blessed with a variety of musical ensembles that regularly enhance our weekly worship services. From choirs of every age to praise band and instrumental soloists, music brings glory and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. Read below for more information on all our music ministries. To get involved, contact Ellen Coman.
Adult Choir
Our Adult Choir enhances traditional worship services with uplifting renditions of standard hymns and modern choral arrangements. The choir welcomes men and women of high school age and above to join at any time. After the summer’s break, the Adult Choir resumes its weekly Thursday evening rehearsals at 7:15 beginning September 6, and sings for the first time on Sunday, September 9, at the 8:30 service. Director of Liturgical Music Ellen Coman has been busy over the summer making preparations for the fall. Of special note is a mini-retreat for the choir on Saturday, September 22 (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) where the group will become acquainted with Vivaldi’s Gloria which will be the centerpoint of our worship service on December 2. If you enjoy singing, please speak with Ellen to learn more about what’s in store for the choir.

Instrumentalists & Liturgical Dance
Even if you don’t sing, you can still be part of the music ministries at Holy Cross! A variety of wind and string instruments enhance our worship services on a regular basis. Liturgical dance also is used on special occasions to strengthen a message through body movement. If God has given you the gift of playing an instrument or dancing, please let Ellen Coman know!
