Jesus’ commandment to “love one another as I have loved you” is followed at
Holy Cross.
Among the more significant ways in which that care is expressed at Holy Cross
is through Befrienders – a lay caring ministry in which trained members and
friends walk alongside others in times of sickness, grief or simply a change in
life’s circumstances.
The Holy Cross prayer team meets regularly for group prayer on issues of concern
at Holy Cross and commits to personal continued prayer on these items.
Holy Cross shares God’s gift of the sacrament of communion with those unable to
attend worship because they are sick or homebound. Trained lay servers regularly bring communion to these members.
Once or twice a year, the youth group offers a Parents Night Out. Those with young
children are given the opportunity to spend time together while their children are
lovingly cared for.
Blood pressure checks are offered monthly to help us take care of our bodies.
